McCullough is singer-songwriter from nearby Boone who spent his formative years in Athens, GA. His broad musical influences include Jackson Browne, Tom Waits, Jason Isbell and John Moreland, as well as southern country/rock bands like the Drive-By-Truckers and Lucero.
