A variety of fresh food grown locally is available at the Avery County Farmers Market every Thursday afternoon through Oct. 16. The market takes place in the parking lot beside the Historic Banner Elk School.
Farmers bring a cornucopia of items each week. This includes produce, meats, honey, jams & jellies, artisan breads and garden plants.
Hours are 3-6 p.m. and ample parking is available.
Updates are posted on the market’s Facebook page.
