Head to Grandfather Mountain on Nov. 21 to see the arrival of the nature park’s holiday tree.
As part of that day’s park admission, visitors can revel in the excitement of the arrival and placement of the tree for the Christmas season.
The tree will be harvested the day prior from Mountain Top Fraser Fir Farm in nearby Newland. Mountain Top has supplied trees to the White House, North Carolina State Capitol and other prominent government buildings and residences.
After watching Grandfather’s mascot, Millie the Bear, escort the holiday tree through the entrance gate and up the park road to the Wilson Center, visitors can take part in snowflake-themed crafts while enjoying hot chocolate and candy canes.
